Megan Nielsen – Acupuncturist & Herbalist

I read this quote every day, it epitomizes my perspective on health:

My approach is integrative care, and I whole-heartedly believe that conventional and alternative therapies can co-exist and complement one another to achieve excellent results. I have an undergraduate degree in Biology and a Master’s in Traditional Chinese Medicine, and am licensed as an acupuncturist and herbalist in California and New Zealand. For the past 10 years, my focus has been on fertility, pregnancy and women's health.

I met my kiwi husband while finishing up the last year of my Master’s program. As a devout Californian, it seemed impossible to imagine ever leaving, and then we had our son. Nothing has brought me more joy than being his mom. It has truly been the most rewarding and challenging adventure, and New Zealand is a wonderful place to raise him. The three of us spend our time traveling, paddle boarding, swimming, hiking and hunting for dinosaurs.
